Clay Preparation Production Operator – Cecil Park

Part of the CSR family, our Masonry & Insulation Business Unit comprises of Bradford, Monier Roofing and PGH Bricks & Pavers. We manufacture and market a full range of products for residential and commercial applications including a large range of products and systems that cover insulation, ventilation, solar, bricks and roof tiles.

The Opportunity 

With ongoing demand we have an exciting opening within our team for a dependable Production Operator at the PGH Manufacturing site in Cecil Park. The majority of time in this role will be in the operation of the wheeled front end loader to feed production equipment.  Whilst the ideal candidate will already have Civil construction wheeled front end loader competency, this training will be provided for the right candidate if not already held.

In this permanent role, reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor you will operate a range of production machines and will be trained to perform multiple functions to produce brick products.  In order to achieve this successfully, you will focus on safety, product quality, manufacturing excellence, and teamwork.

Some Key Responsibilities Will Include…

  • Adhere to safety standards
  • Operate machines to exceed daily, weekly and monthly production targets
  • Forklift operations (must hold a current LF Forklift licence)
  • Improve and maintain daily production levels
  • Process improvement to reduce costs and maximise outputs
  • Perform routine quality tests
  • Ensure the highest quality of standards and production
  • Reporting all daily production numbers as required
  • Participate in Operator Asset Care Tasks
  • Maintain the highest level of housekeeping possible on the site

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Civil construction wheeled front end loader competency
  • Have a high attention to detail with strong experience completing quality control testing
  • Good mechanical aptitude and/or trouble shooting ability
  • Physically fit - comfortable with lifting 25KG
  • A great work ethic and a strong commitment to safe work practices
  • Experience in a similar role within a continuous heavy manufacturing environment (ceramics, well regarded)
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

Hours of Work

Please note this is a 24 hr 6 day a week production facility. Shift work involves working night shift, weekends and public holidays with all penalty rates and shift loading included.
