The opportunity 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and well-rounded Maintenance Planner to join our team based in Oxley. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will plan, schedule and monitor all maintenance activities to achieve KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance activities via maintenance planning software (SAP PM);
  • Actively complete the allocation of the weekly maintenance work schedule and planned shutdowns;
  • Purchase materials and supplies to enable maintenance and project work to be carried out;
  • Manage all service contracts and contractors to comply with statutory requirements;
  • Operation and continuous improvement of the planning and scheduling processes and the SAP PM system;
  • Management of spare parts inventory; technical drawings and equipment register;
  • Provide an essential role in shutdowns planning;
  • Facilitate effective cross functional communications between the Maintenance and Production teams;
  • Champion CSR’s Planned Maintenance excellence program onsite.

To be considered for this key role you will be known for your safety ethos and strong work ethic and be motivated by working in a team.  

 Attributes for success:

  • Strong technical background and a minimum of 3 years in a similar role within a continuous manufacturing /production environment;
  • Experience in heavy industry and knowledge of maintenance best practice;
  • Initiative and Can-do attitude to assist the site to operate efficiently and be ready to lend a hand when needed;
  • Experience working with CMMS SAP PM (Required);
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to easily build rapport and engage stakeholders across all levels;
  • Have a mechanical or electrical trade qualification, or tertiary qualification in Engineering (highly regarded).
