About the role

Our lead generation team is responsible for qualifying potential leads to assist with developing business for our AFS business. Leveraging off an existing database of inbound commercial project leads, you will be responsible for making high volume outbound calls to architects and builders with an aim to have our products specified.

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting and building a sales pipeline for the external sales reps via outbound calling and act as a bridge between sales and estimating
  • Proactively contribute to the ongoing development of the Sales team and participate in product training sessions by attending meetings and site visits
  • Provide technical product and application assistance
  • Achieve/exceed monthly quotas of qualified opportunities
  • Conduct engaging and detailed conversations with architects, engineers, builders and stakeholders in target/prospect accounts
  • Cold calling key decision makers in target/prospect accounts to ultimately generate interest in our products
  • Provide an efficient interface with all engineering systems and processes and ensure adherence to all best industry practices to resolve all client issues
  • Partnering with broader AFS team to develop solutions for our customers
  • Updating and maintaining our project database and CRM system
  • Coordinate with engineering support staff and engineers and aid presentations and events
  • Assist estimating departments with project engineering schemes


 About you!

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • The ability to apply engineering principles to practical engineering problems, to use engineering equipment and tools, including computer applications, to make, read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • High energy and a thirst for sales and achieving targets
  • Experience working in a high volume outbound sales environment
  • High resilience and exceptional ability to handle objections “never say die” attitude
  • The ability to solve problems with a customer centric approach
  • Effective communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport and trust with all types of customers e.g. Developers, Builders and Contractors
  • Ability to pick up Technical concepts quickly, but don’t worry we will offer you full training on our products and systems!
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done!
