Part of the CSR family, our Construction Systems Business Unit comprises of Cemintel™ Fibre Cement Systems, CSR Hebel and AFS Walling solutions. We manufacture and market a full range of products for residential and commercial applications including a large range of products and systems that cover internal linings, residential and commercial façades, flooring, and innovative proprietary wall and framing systems. We are a high growth business area, with the desire to continue to build solutions.

About the role

We are searching for a Business Development Manager to join our QLD sales team based Hamilton but territory coverage located in Nth NSW. Reporting into the Regional General Manager QLD, you will be responsible for supporting the growth of our market share while identifying and facilitating business growth opportunities with key Customers.

This position will be perfect for a driven professional, who loves the chase of sales to grow market share and is strategic with their approach to customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify, scope and grow Residential, Multi Residential segment opportunities.
  • Grow sales project pipeline with Builders and developers.
  • Ensure the effective handover of specified projects and complete the conversion to the sale.
  • Support sales and marketing teams in gaining market insights.
  • Target suitable CS opportunities within in the QLD apartment space.
  • Support sales and marketing teams in gaining market insights.
  • Build rapport and insights with key customers and explore and follow through on opportunities across other CSR divisions.
  • Develop and implement growth plans with key customers and new customers targets that result in continuous share of wallet growth across the product portfolio.
  • Be aware of competitor activities and market changes (pricing, channel to market, agreement support) and share across the sales team.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Trade, Engineering, Business or Construction qualifications ideal
  • An ability to drive primary apartment sales growth at a project and customer level and through established contacts, be able to influence at senior levels and negotiate commercial outcomes that secures demand growth.
  • An ability to manage channels to market, namely contractors and resellers and ensure geographic installation and supply capability matched demand.
  • An ability to build productive partnerships with individuals and groups across the business and external to the business.
  • An ability to interpret technical elements of products and provide support to customers and contractors.
