The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Account Manager to join our team in Yarraville, Melbourne.

This position is all about partnering with Residential customers to support them with their business needs while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will be reporting to the Segment Manager and will work closely with and the wider friendly sales and technical professionals, who possess a genuine passion for our products.

The main purpose of this role is to educate, influence, generate and deliver building solutions in the residential market. You will engage with an established client base of existing accounts while hunting for new clients to expand our market share in the Melbourne Metro residential low-level construction segment.

Role Accountabilities

  • Strengthen builder and contractor relationships to deliver repeat business.
  • Management of pricing processes (approvals and credit sign off).
  • Execution of price increase strategy for price reviews.
  • Support and maintain credit terms in consultation with the credit team.
  • Increase Sales in Interior Systems product categories.
  • Analyse market opportunity & business performance with financial data & reporting systems
  • Monitor customer & market activity and feedback via CRM
  • Develop and implement growth plans with key customers that result in continuous share growth of customers across the product portfolio.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in an Account Manager role within the Building Materials industry; exposure to Residential segment highly regarded.
  • Proficient with CRM software & Office applications (particularly Excel).
  • Good level of confidence, ability to conduct meetings in a professional manner with senior management.
  • Familiarity with sales performance metrics, e.g. gross margin, etc…
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a focus on the customer.
  • Collaboration with teams.
  • Negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills and experience.
