Opportunity for a Engineering Manager to join the team based in our manufacturing site in Oxley QLD. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your role will be to plan, schedule and monitor all maintenance activities at the Oxley plant and foster effective cross functional teamwork between Production and Maintenance.  Responsibilities for this key role will include;

  • Passionately driving a Safety Frist Culture.
  • Effectively managing maintenance activities within budgetary constraints.
  • Manage all service contractors to comply with PGH safety health and environment (SHE) requirements.
  • Managing, advising scoping of capital projects and subsequent project management
  • Actively complete planning and scheduling requirements to achieve KPI targets
  • Develop an engineering and maintenance strategy including timeframes to deliver best practice maintenance systems
  • Co-ordinate the maintenance function to optimise the availability and productivity of plant and equipment (OEE improvements).
  • Establish and manage spare parts stock levels.
  • Identify and implement operation improvement projects.
  • Manage the installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes.
  • Implement the CSR Way Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Ongoing development of our constructive culture

Skills & Qualifications required

To be considered for this role you will be known for your safety ethos and ability to lead by example.  Ideally you will have;

  • Tertiary/formal qualifications in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years Maintenance/Engineering Management experience within industrial manufacturing operations
  • Computer literacy (Word and Excel)
  • Sound understanding of computerised maintenance management systems (SAP preferred)
  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and knowledge of wide variety of equipment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in a Clay based Ceramics manufacturing industry would be advantageous
